- Oversee the implementation of HSE activities to achieve performance objectives including KPI
- Lead HSE pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, meetings and activities.
- Lead and oversee workplace risk management processes.
- Manage HSE activities and processes for employees in the workplace.
- Participate and lead in JHA analisys and other HSE programms and campaigns.
- Co-ordinate, lead and/or participate in HSE training, audits and inspections as directed.
- Ensure all incidents/injuries/hazards are investigated and corrective actions completed and recorded.
- Maintain a safe working environment and observe safe working practices.
- Fulfil HSE reporting requirements for the Project
- Assist in the identification of HSE hazards and support the development of corrective action plans
- Assist in the investigation of incidents and the determination of causes to prevent a recurrence
- Assist in the development and implementation of HSE Management Systems for the Project
- Assist in development and coordination of HSE training activities.
- Assist in assessing safety trends, propose and implement initiatives to combat any negative trends
- Ensure compliance of project HSE Management System documents to applicable laws and regulations
- Prepare inspection reports, bringing to attention matters of concern with proposals for remedial actions.
- Coordinate and participate in emergency drills to ensure that procedures are workable and effective.
- Review all health and HSE related documentation, including JHA’s, SWP’s, work permit procedures and HSE equipment requisitions, to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Ensure HSE statistics are documented, maintained and analyzed and that remedial action is taken where necessary.
- Interface with HSE Officers to provide supervision, coordination, technical assistance and problem solving advise in the course of their inspection duties.
- Record and remedy deficiencies or breaches identified during inspections to ensure safe work practices and that full and accurate records are maintained for compliance assessment and analysis.
- Receive and prepare daily activity reports and all required reports from HSE Officers and HSET Admins and work on the prepararation, summaries for Project Leadership team and the client
- Required task performance from Project Management team
