Information Technology Manager
IT Manager reports directly to the General Manager. You are going to be responsible for the overall operation of the Information Systems and Technology Infrastructure. You will direct and manage the overall implementation and support of the systems as well as preventive maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting of all systems and its policies & procedures are followed by the end users. You will make proposals or evaluate for new systems development that will be more cost efficient and effective for the hotel operations. You are also responsible for training of IT staff in systems administration and technological upgrades.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide the hotel with excellent IT support service
· Ensure that hotel data is secured and in line with stated standards and best practices
· Ensure Access Control is in line with stated standards and best practices
· Manage the local process for event management, enhancements and application fixes
· Ensure regular self-evaluations of IT practices are completed and communicated
· Source, evaluate and implement local solutions where appropriate
· Manage local implementation projects & testing of applications and hardware upgrades
· Ensure the hotel adopts and maintains brand standards for guests and business services in relation to IT services and offerings
· Consistently promote the brand in the local site and encourage the use of the brand by IT suppliers
· Ensure up-to-date hard-copies of department SOPs are maintained at all times
· Communicate new or amended procedures to relevant departments/ colleagues in a timely manner, ensuring they have been understood
EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as an IT Manager in an international hotel or the same/ similar capacity in other industry
· Degree in BS Information Technology or BS Computer Science or BS Computer Engineering.
· Knowledge of network operating systems, architecture and system design.
· Possess effective organization and time management skills
· Strong knowledge of Fidelio/Opera PMS, Micros POS, Infrasys POS, Lotus Notes and Windows Active Directory
· Excellent knowledge of English language is an advantage (oral and written)
· Strong organizational skills & ability to work under pressure
· Able to work independently
· Strong Interpersonal skills
